Admission to the B.Ed course in the non-Govt. Colleges of Education is open to the candidates in possession with Bachelor’s Degree in the faculty of Arts / Science / Social Sciences / Commerce / Management (under 10+2+3 or 10+1+3 pattern) / Engineering / Medicine / Agriculture / Veterinary Sciences / Forestry / Music and Fine Arts from the University of Jammu or any other statutary university in India and having secured at least 45% of the aggregate marks in the qualifying Examination in case of general category. In case of SC/ST category candidates who are permanent residents of J&K State and belong to the areas falling under the jurisdiction of Jammu University, the eligibility condition will be having secured 40% of the aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
However one sitting Bachelor’s Degree External Examination conducted by any university in the country is not recognized for purpose of admission to B.Ed. course.
Admission of all eligible candidates to the B.Ed. course is made by the Centralized Admission Committee constituted by the University of Jammu. The candidate desirous of seeking admission in the said programme are required to apply to the University of Jammu as per notification issued by it in the local and national newspapers. The admission is made by the Centralized Admission Committee on the basis of counseling conducted by it on the dates notified by it separately, strictly in order of merit obtained in the qualifying examination in respective categories. During the counseling session, the college is allotted to a candidate by the Admission Committee on merit-cum-choice basis subject to availability of seats in that college.
Every candidate after having allotted seats in Vimal Muni College of Education, Ramgarh by the Admission Committee and depositing the admission fees in the University is required to report immediately in the College for completion of admission formalities, fill in the college Admission form during working hours, get it checked by the Admission Committee and pay the college dues. He shall have to furnish the following documents for fulfilling the admission requirements. (This is in addition to the documents submitted to the University of Jammu for seeking admission in the B.Ed. course).
1) Recent passport size photographs – 3 nos.
2) Two attested photocopies of all the certificates, degrees and marks certificates in case of all the examinations passed by him i.e. secondary school (matriculation), Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree. |
