Tutorials:

All the enrolled B.Ed. students are divided into tutorial groups, each comprising 15-20 students. The tutorial classes are held on every Saturday under the supervision and guidance of a tutor, who is invariably a member of the College faculty. This period provides an opportunity to the students to develop various teaching skills essentially required for effective teaching learning situation, master preparation of requisite teaching aids with reference to lessons to be delivered etc. besides receiving individual attention.

Internet Facility:

The College is equipped with well-furnished computer Lab., extending internet facility to the College Library, Staff Room and Principal’s Chamber.

Students Grievance Cell:

The College Administration has decided to constitute a grievance cell right from the session 2011-2012. A small room has been earmarked for the same. One of the senior staff members shall be made Incharge of the cell. He shall be assisted by two other faculty members for purpose of listening to the student’s grievances and suggest ways and means for redressal of the same. The cell is expected to meet every week in the afternoon, listen patiently to the grievances previously lodged by the students in writing and take remedial measures thereof in the best interests of the students/complainants. It would help to remove any sort of misunderstanding, if developed by any student against members of the staff or administration. The cell is also supposed to prevail upon the college management to provide facilities/amenities if demanded by the students and found in their academic interest.

Blood Bank

A Book Bank is also being set up this year in the college library. It would provide free access to the books to the poor and needy students of the College and allow them to retain books for the whole session. The Book Bank is to be developed with the active support of students, teachers, community and publishers on cooperative basis. All the stakeholders concerned and philanthropists shall be requested to donate old/new books for the development of the Bank.

Alumni Association:

In order to assure close relationship with ex-students of this College and thus obtain their healthy suggestions and comments as well regarding the future development of the College on the basis of their rich experience in various fields, an Alumni Association has been formed with effect from the current session. The B.Ed. students on the rolls of the College during any academic session would surely be also benefited by the interaction with the ex-students whenever an Alumni meet is held by the College Administration.

Orientation/Induction Programme for new Entries:

The College Administration organizes orientation programme for freshers every year just after the admissions are completed. Every staff member is supposed to deliver a lecture on any educational / general topic which would broaden the intellectual horizon of the students. The said programme provides a chance to the new batch of students to come closer to the teaching faculty and develop intimate academic relationship with them.

National Service Scheme(N.S.S.):

N.S.S. was made operational in the College in 2006. Since then activities like awareness camps regarding population explosion, adult literacy and other social evils are being held in nearby villages. The N.S.S. wing of the College is functioning as per instructions issued by the University from time to time. A Population Education Club and an Adult Education Club have been constituted to implement various programmes related to N.S.S.

Hostel Facility:

Vimal Muni college of Education has provision of Hostel for girls only. It is a three-storey building and comprises Warden’s Room, spacious Kitchen, Dining Hall, one dormitory, 11 rooms and toilet set in each floor. It can accommodate 50 inmates at a time. The hostel warden is a full time employee of the College who looks after the proper arrangement in case of hostel mess, security of students and medical facilities whenever required during the day.

Library Service:

The College library is gradually growing and at present it has got 2621 books out of which 71 books belong to the reference section. The College subscribes to 6 Educational journals published by NCERT. The library reading room has got provision for seating 40 students at a time. The library service can be extended beyond College hours if need arises.
